Joella Smith was a lifetime member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition. She was extremely proud of her heritage and was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution.  This sense of heritage was manifested by her participation in numerous educational events commemorating reenactment of the Texas frontier in the early 1800's. She was an accomplished seamstress constructing numerous costumes for reenactment, some of which will be offered for sale. Her love of heritage and history is not only reflected in her collections but is evidenced by the great care in which these items were preserved...many in like new condition.
